It's ok...

A few things I gotta say:

*To work on stuff*

-If you want to use music, plz use more original music, such as some loops on NG.
-You use the V-cam to much. (If that is one) allowing the player to see both the enemies and the boss, it would be much more pleasing to the eyes.
-Plz show the damage going down, not just a "-w/e dmg value"
-A better looking interface would be nice.
-More moves for the boss
-The boss having MP would also be nice.
-items

W/o a doubt, a phenominal tutorial.

But one major question (eh, not really major)
You said, "An arguement is basically a part of the function that allows the user to give it some input when the function is called."

But I'm wondering, (For me to understand the term "arguement" better, would it make more sense to say is as, "An argument is basically a part of the function that allows the user to give it some input as to how the function is called, and normally changing the outcome of the function based on it's value."?

I think I made it more complex, but is that still right in terms of an "argument"?

Al6200 responds:

An argument is just an "input" for a function, or at least that's how I like to think of it.

For example, if you have an "enemy" class, and have a function that spawns enemies, but want the strength of the enemies to depend on what difficulty the game is on, then you could define the spawn function with a difficulty argument:

function spawn (difficulty) {
if(difficulty == 3) {
//something;
}
}

then when you'd call the spawn function, you'd say:

spawn(3)

or

spawn(4)

and then the value in the parenthesis would get passed into the function under the variable name difficulty.

Well done

Although I wouldn't call this "advanced" (no offense intended) it was still a good tutorial.

Looking forward to erm, your next flash application! lol

Neo-13 responds:

Yeah, I know it isn't advanced - bear in mind I made this after about a month of buying Flash. Also, I had to say something like that otherwise people would complain that I didn't explain how to make a button or whatever. Perhaps on reflection it was the wrong word, but what's done is done!

Classic!

It's just a phenominal classic shooter of great proportions, thats all.

Well done, looking forward to your next game.

Wow thats awesome

It's like everything you want to see on Newgrounds, but w/o the pain of moving around and dealing w/ sponsors =D

Now that may sound lazy but the code used for this must have taken awhile.

Holy Shit.

Frontpage! (I call it =D)

Well done on all levels, only problem; It was somewhat laggy in the beginnning.

Your Preloader...

Is shooting blanks.... xD

lol

Could use work, but still, it's just a clock right? lol

Beautiful.

Held my attention till the end, I kept feeling as if I was on a beach with someone else, but n a musical harmonic way that could not be mistaken for anything else...

And for this, I thank you.

How About...

Unstead of making a shitty scene creator w/ glitches when grabbing items about an long-dead and barbaric genre of an idea (refering to madness) why not make up something on your own?

Another thing, stay away from the filters, you used the defauly bevel filter on every single damn item and now they all look like complete shit.

Here's a little tip... NO ONE, I mean NO ONE EVER cares about those scene creators, you wanna know why? Because no one would need them; nor do they bring fun, it's fanboyish 13 yr. olds who can't come up with DECENT idea's that make the portal of newgrounds look like shit, so before you click submit, think; Was this made off of the idea of someone else? Well than your polluting newgrounds, which pisses me off, so here you go, a big fat 0.

This tutorials are great...

But your obviously scrambling for a higher BA by making several unstead of just making one w/ all this knowledge, which doesn't deserve more than 5/10, sure this review could be posted as not helpful, but what your doing is plain wrong, to bad you're not gonna do anything about it.

ZiggyZack99 responds:

What's a BA? The only reason I'm making multiple is so that users can browse and pick the one they need with a short load time. Also, it's easier.

Real men hold down the SHIFT key when they shout on the interweb.
